Villages where Drinking Water Supply status is 40 litres per capita per day (lpcd) or more, qualify for Release of Private Water Connections.
Sub Divisional Engineer Will be Empowered toRelease the Private Water Connection.
Initial one time fee of Rs. 500/- as security to be Deposited by the Beneficiary. This fee has been waived off by the Govt. for one year under Indira Gandhi Drinking Water Scheme w.e.f 19-11-2006.
Water Charges are Rs. 20/- per tap in case of General Category and Rs. 10/- per Tap in case of Schedule Cast category.
Cost of laying Pipeline from Main Line up to door-step to be borne by the Beneficiary in case of General category. The connection will be provided inside the house free of cost in case of Schedule Cast category.
